A celebration of highly decorative contemporary, vintage, and antique rugs and carpets! 1stbid.com will offer an eclectic mix of 19th and 20th-century rugs and carpets sure to appeal to the savvy buyer with elevated taste. Over the past year, we have continued to build on our reputation as a premiere auction venue for the best selection of both classic and contemporary rugs. Our February 26th auction features formal, tribal, modernist, and collectible pieces woven throughout the world. As always, we will offer a strong selection of room-size Persian and Oriental carpets from the 19th and 20th centuries, including top Heriz, Tabriz, Sarouk, and Bakhshaish pieces. We have assembled a wide collection of colorful 19th-century Caucasian scatter rugs, Persian and Turkish silk rugs, tribal pieces of various sizes, and fine European rugs including Savonnerie and vintage Swedish flat weaves. We are particularly proud to offer a French Art Deco Mebe Miro design rug, as well.
