Art For Eternity Inaugural Sale

We are 'Boots on the Ground' New York City specialists in ancient and ethnographic art. We have an extensive network which allows us to offer you quality ancient, ethnographic, pre-Columbian, fine art, antiques and collectibles from various estates and consignors at fair prices. Highlights include property from the collection of Dr. Henry and Naomi Cherrick. Dr. Cherrick was a professor and dean at UCLA School of dentistry who pioneered government programs promoting dental care in HIV/AIDs patients. He was also an art lover, and avid collector of fine art throughout the 70s, with a keen eye and a studious approach to building his collection. He relied heavily on experts to guide and advise him, and developed an esteemed collection that included Picasso, Miro, Dali and Rauschenberg, among many others. He always had a passion for ancient history and developed a love for antiquities around the turn of the millennium. He approached ancient arts in the same fashion as he had fine arts: he read widely and deeply, and relied on experts to help build an outstanding collection of widely varied, high quality pieces representing his appreciation for artwork from ancient cultures across the globe. He died at the age of 84 in 2023.
