DuMouchelles’ Thursday, May 18th auction features more than 500 lots of exceptional quality and design, ranging from 18kt gold, diamond, and platinum rings to French Empire-style bronze and marble mantel clocks. The collection features other quality pieces, such as a 3.40-carat pear-shaped diamond ring, and a Ruby and Diamond bracelet from ca. 1940. There are also several pieces of hand-painted porcelain, including an Adelaide Labille-Guiard plaque, a German painting on porcelain from the 19th century, and several KPM Berlin paintings on porcelain, depicting different themes and scenes. The collection also includes rugs of different sizes and designs, such as an Oriental hand-woven Sarouk rug from the 1950s and an Oushak design hand-woven wool rug. This month’s sale also includes exquisite pieces of furniture, such as the Maitland-Smith Empire style marble-clad bronze writing desk, and Von Schierholz German porcelain figural table lamp. Also included are sculptures, like Georges Van Der Straeten bronze sculpture and Jim Davidson's Little Champ bronze sculpture, and a French Louis XVI style carved giltwood parlor set. The items are of varying ages and from different regions, including France, Germany, Russia, and the United States, among others.
