6th WestLicht Photo Auction, May 12th 2012

Over 200 lots, many in vintage quality, will be presented for sale at the 6th WestLicht Photography Auction. The selection was carried out by two experts: Johannes Faber (for classic photography) and Anja Manfredi (for contemporary positions), raising the auction to an international level. It is the first time there will be such a huge extent of top-class photographs in the German-speaking area up for auction. Among these are rare treasures from the dawn of the media, exceptional Austriaca and masterpieces from the American history of photography. Big international names such as Ansel Adams, David Bailey, Wynn Bullock, Harry Callahan, Helmut Newton, David LaChapelle, Yousuf Karsh, Alexander Rodtschenko, Paul Strand, Josef Sudek and Henri Cartier-Bresson can be found, as well as Austrian classics like Trude Fleischmann, Heinrich Kühn, Rudolf Koppitz, Lothar Rübelt and Moriz Nähr.
