Welcome Friends! We are pleased to offer this month some Asian fusion. This auction features a single owner collection of wonderful Chinese antiques and collectibles from a 5th generation Macau resident. She spent most of her life living and working between Macau and Hong Kong before immigrating to the US where she continued to work on the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. She spoke seven languages fluently, including Cantonese, and traveled extensively throughout Asia and Europe for both business and pleasure. These wonderful pieces she loved and displayed them all prominently in her home, filled with decorative pieces that she discovered around the world, but she had a particular fondness for Asian antiques. Her primary love was the artistry of Asian designs but acquired some other beautiful goodies. Other than Asian pieces, she loved art glass; rare Ltd Ed. Daum Tulip vase with gold gilt petals, Lalique, Michael Nourot, Waterford among them. She picked up some incredible items, starting at Lot 1-269! Lot 270, another collector with a fine eye amassed some spectacular art glass shades, Steuben, Quezal, NuArt & more. Some unusual and awesome pieces: French Boulle Marquetry Box, Lot 286, 1935 Jennings & 1948 Mills one armed bandits at Lot 289 & 290 or His Master's Voice gramophone, rare shape, Lot 291. Asian beauties, a new assortment of Japanese pieces from our consignor with the Japanese decor shop in Little Tokyo. Not only do we have some more terrific sculptures, chargers, Shippo Vases, but many fantastic woodblocks prints that begin at Lot 297.
