Apollo Art Auctions is presenting the "Fine Ancient Art and Antiquities" two-day auction on the 27th and 28th of April 2024. After a highly successful January auction showcasing The Prince Collection, we're thrilled to announce the return of more exquisite items. Our April auction brings an exceptional selection of antiquities encompassing a wide range of cultures. From the Roman Empire to the ancient Egyptians, Hellenistic, Western Asiatic and ancient China. Each piece has been vetted by renowned team of experts, offering you the opportunity to enhance your collection. Our second day of the auction features a selection of seals that have been seen by the esteemed Professor Wilfred George Lambert. Professor Lambert, a collector and lecturer at Birmingham University for many years, dedicated his career to the study of Near Eastern history, with a particular focus on cylinder seals. His extensive literature on the subject is widely recognized and is grounded in a thorough background of knowledge.
