New Orleans Auction Gallery is pleased to present our October 6-7, 2012 auction, featuring nearly 1,500 lots of fine art, antiques and collectables. The sale will include a large collection of 19th century American furniture and decorative items from Daffodil Hill in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, as well as dozens of lots of fine silver, from a George IV Phillip Rundell sterling silver gilt wine cooler to a massive seven-piece "Francis I" tea set with sterling tray. Among the fine art offerings will be works by Franz Kline, Alfred Stevens, Florencio Molina and an impressive mural by New Orleans' own George Schmidt depicting the Battle of New Orleans. Also included will be a spectacular Baccarat 48-light Zenith chandelier, an important Napoleon III ebonized and hardstone-inlaid pedestal by Mathieu Befort, dit Befot Jeune (1813-1880) and nearly 100 lots of fine jewelry, along with Asian decorative arts and textiles, fine glassware, books, autographs and more!
