Art + Design

Freeman’s | Hindman is pleased to present Chicago Art + Design, our March collaboration between our Post War and Contemporary Art and Design teams featuring exciting examples for collectors at a variety of price points. Anchoring the sale are striking sculptural works by George Rickey, Harry Bertoia, Ernest Tino Trova, and Louise Nevelson. Dreamlike offerings by artists such as John Wilde, Sophie von Hellermann, and Eugene von Bruenchenhein intrigue, along with works of Chicago creatives Joseph Yoakum, William Samuel Schwartz, Roger Brown, Lee Godie, Ed Paschke, and Richard Hunt. Bold abstract paintings by Pat Lipsky, Norman Bluhm, John Little, Jack Roth, and Adja Yunkers stand out, while Design highlights include classic examples of Mid-Century furniture, including lovely pieces by Warren Platner, as well as a strong collection of glassware by Dale Chihuly.
