Decorative Art
The Decorative Art Auction offers glass, ceramic, silver and pewter objects, Asian artworks and varia. The assortment includes articles coming from several, mainly European manufactures, most of which are held in high esteem by collectors. In the glass sector there are objects produced by manufacturing centers such as Gallé and Loetz located in sites playing an important role at the turn of the 19th and 20th century: in France, Bohemia, Silesia. The auction features a ceramic section dedicated to porcelain and faience, offering both decorative and utilitarian objects. Further highlights include silver and pewter articles from as early as 17th century. A separate section is devoted to a few dozen items representing Asian art, mainly from China, such as a figurine of Kubera from the Ming Dynasty period or a brush container with a carved corner. Among the varia, we also offer bronze objects such as elegant candelabras and mantel clocks.
