July 7, 2013 Estate Auction

The July Estate Auction presents a wide range of property from estates, private collections and institutions throughout the West Coast. Among Fine Art estate offerings are paintings, sculpture, photographs and graphics; Jewelry often features period selections, timepieces, natural jadeite jade and quality diamonds; Asian Art showcases fine jade carvings, porcelains, bronzes, glassware, scrolls and textiles and the Furniture and Decorative Arts section of the sale often includes silver, rugs and carpets, glassware, porcelains, figurines and American and European furniture. Selected highlights for the month of July include an August Gay painting titled "Mission San Luis Rey de Francia," a Chris Aire blackened steel chronograph wristwatch, a 19th century Chinese inkstone and a statuesque Art Deco style bronze. In addition, the Stamp and Coin Department will include a noteworthy selection of U.S. stamps, as well as collections of worldwide stamps. Collectible lots of U.S. and Canadian coins will also be offered at auction from the department.
