Two-Day Couture, Vintage Fashion, Textile, Jewelry and Ethnographic Arts Auction From museums and private collections Friday and Saturday, November 1-2, 2013 at 10AM Previews: Thursday October 31, Noon-6PM Friday and Saturday from 8AM - 10AM Location: Eagle Fire Co. 46 N. Sugan Road, New Hope, PA 18938 This season's two-day auction will feature institutional property from The Metropolitan Museum of Art; The Schenectady Museum; The Philadelphia Museum of Art; Fashion Institute of Technology; Shippensburg University; Ohio State University; The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and a Midwestern Institution; including a collection of Chinese embroidered robes and Russian headdresses. Property from private collectors and estates will also be sold, including a large collection of Christian Dior and other designer clothing and accessories from an important Washington DC estate. Friday Nov 1: Fabric samples and swatches, printed linen panels, two sets (14 panels) of Fortuny curtains, Mathieu Mategot tapestry, laces, embroideries museum collection of Chifu and other Chinese robes, several good kossu tapestries and other Chinese embroideries. Nurata and other Suzanis, Lakai embroidery, Ikats, Indian and Kashmiri textiles, Continental textiles and Oriental Carpets, including a palace size Sultanabad (14' x 24') will be sold. Saturday Nov 2: Couture, vintage clothing, jewelry and accessories including important examples from: Christian Dior (15+), Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Lacroix, Andre Courreges, Thierry Mugler, Marie Laurencin, Mariano Fortuny, Emilio Pucci, Thea Porter, 14 examples from Alexander McQueen including several prototype corsets and accessories. Several examples from important American designers Ralph Rucci, Geoffrey Beene, Gilbert Adrian and others will be sold. Period costume includes an 18th C Robe a la Francaise and Pet-en-L'Air, 1920's beaded dresses, Victorian and Edwardian clothing.
