IMPORTANT ANTIQUES & ESTATES AUCTION

collection the auction will offer a host of interesting items from a Marietta, GA estate, amassed by an avid collector who skirted the delicate edge between being a collector and a hoarder. Antiques enthusiasts will appreciate his many diverse collections, including a large collection of clocks and several pieces of exceptional furniture represented by a fine Horner Brother desk made in the Wooten style with stained glass doors and ormolu accents. A highlight among a selection of fine art is a sculpture by Wilhelm Lehmbruck (German, 1911-1919). This torso sculpture of a nude woman is classic to Lehmbruck's art that was influenced by Naturalism and Expressionism and mostly concentrated on the human body. His work is held in important museums, including the Städel Museum, Germany, the Tate Gallery, England, the Museum of Modern Art, New York City, and the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C, among many others. We also have an outstanding jewelry selection in this auction, comprised of fine estate pieces from a residence in East Hampton, Long Island. Important makers include Tiffany, Cartier, and designer David Yurman. Exquisite designs in diamonds and gemstones of the highest quality, as well as Asian and tribal one-of-a-kind pieces, characterize the collection. One standout is a fabulous Ming Dynasty Chon Zen Rhinoceros horn beaded necklace accompanied by two carved cups that depict Asian figural and scenic designs.
