Fine Art at Auction
Fine Art at Auction including works from the Cleveland School of Art and featuring a collection of pre-pop works by Roy Lichtenstein.
The life-long friendship between Joseph O?Sickey and Roy Lichtenstein formed when both were instructors at The Ohio State University in 1947 and fused in Cleveland in 1948 when Algesa O?Sickey, director of Cleveland?s progressive 1030 Gallery, exhibited Lichtenstein?s work. Throughout the 1950?s both artists, living in Cleveland, worked in tandem, experimenting technically and stylistically. Their indelible bond impacted their personal lives and their careers. Rachel Davis Fine Arts is pleased to offer 9 original works by Roy Lichtenstein from the Joseph B. O?Sickey trust.
