Iconic GDR Art & Design

When GDR art and cult objects come under the hammer, an important chapter of design history should not be missing. A timeless plywood stool, Model 50642, made by Erich Menzel in 1951, and a mocha service, produced in the Hedwig Bollhagen ceramic workshop in 1956, are just a couple of examples of the everlasting classics on offer in this auction. Also featured is a 1956 woodcut by Rolf Kurth, as well as this unique auction?s absolute highlight: six original pieces of the Berlin Wall, painted by Ben Wargin and Fred Hahn.
