Fine Asian & Western Works of Art Auction

On Friday, March 13, 2015 beginning at 12:00 PM EST Waterford's Art & Antiques Auctioneers will be hosting their Fine Asian & Western Works of Art Auction, in conjunction with Asia Week in New York. Asian lots include ceramics from the Robert H. Ellsworth and Patrick H. Booth Jr. collections, ceramics and jades from a private Montreal collection, bronze mirrors from a prominent American military official stationed in Singapore during the mid-20th century, and an assortment of snuff bottles from the Christian Collection of Middleborough, MA, as well as other fine jades, porcelains, paintings, bronzes, cloisonné, Peking glass, and lacquer from China, Japan and Korea. Significant Chinese artworks include A Finely Carved White Jade ?Champion Vase? and Cover with Original Stand Qianlong Period (1736-1795), A Kangxi Mark and Period Peach Bloom Taibozun Jar, A Rare Ge-type Glazed Mallet Vase, Qianlong Mark and Period, and A Pair of Qianlong Mark and Period Imperial Yellow Carved Peking Glass Vases. Noteworthy Japanese artworks include a large pair of early Namikawa Yasuyuki Cloisonné Dragon Vases on Original Stands and a Large Cloisonné Covered Koro from the Namikawa Workshop. Western lots include American comic book memorabilia, Murano and Lalique glass, German Sitzendorf porcelain, American and Continental furniture, paintings and prints including a Currier and Ives print of Central Park, New York.
