Bess Myerson was named Miss America in 1945, the only Jewish Ms. America ever crowned. A television personality through the 1950s and 1960s, she frequently appeared on I've Got a Secret before being elected a New York City Commissioner in 1969. From the estate Abell is offering a Chaumet 18K gold & diamond mounted stone bowl [$8,000-12,000.00], a 14K gold evening bag with compact, a Steinway & Sons grand piano, a group of Near Eastern pottery, two Picasso Madoura plates, portraits of Bess Myerson by Fried Pal & Lajos Markos, Reuven Rubin watercolors, and much more.
