This sale presents items from a number of impressive collections. Among them are the extensive Tootsietoy & Ives Train collections of Charles Bloom, the marvelous Schoenhut Circus & Comic Character Collection of Fran Oakland, and the impressive grouping of scarce Vindex toys from the Bill & Stevie Weart Collection. Playthings from the estate of William and Dolores Fleming feature trains and accessories from numerous makers and a wonderful group of dolls and dolls' house miniatures. Rounding out the sale is a wide range of items from the estate of Flora Gill Jacobs, a number of which have been pictured in the many books she wrote that defined the hobby of dolls' house and miniature collecting.
