Featuring a great sale including several partial contents from Dutchess and Westchester Counties, NYC and environs as well as items from a large Rockland County estate.
Session 1 begins at 5:00 PM and is also Liveauctioneer.com enabled, the sale opens with 60 lots of Civil War related items including documents, images, and other items followed by 60 additional lots of interest.
Asian items including bronzes, porcelains and assorted carvings sell before various artworks including four watercolors by Marcel Vertes, a signed Picasso lithograph and others.
Mid century furniture and decorative accessories include a sculpted iron base coffee table, several Danish designed pieces, a Johnson Bros console by Renzo Rutili, a reoffered signed Laverne coffee table and several lots of Murano and Venetian glass.
A small collection of arts and crafts and rustic furniture and an unusual art deco desk precede a few lots of 18th and 19th century furniture and decorative pieces and the session concludes with a few select carpets.
Session 2 will begin around 6:30 and will offer in house, absentee and phone bids only. 20 estate carpets start it off followed by 525 additional lots. Among the offerings will be estate jewelry including large costume jewelry lots, fine china and glass including a large Hutschenreuther set, porcelain figurines, signed glass, good lots of silver flatware and hollowware, Asian items, clocks, compasses and other like items and at least 40 oil paintings. Mid century furniture and accessories as well as country, Empire, Mission, Victorian and custom mahogany furniture will be mixed in with decorative arts from carved mirrors to bronze chandeliers. Expect many surprises and unadvertised lots.
