The continuing Estate Collection of Yves Georges Prade (1904-1992), Vice-President of the Municipal Council of Paris and of the General Council of the Seine will be on the Auction Block November 12th/13th at Burchard Galleries. Prade, a major force in the Parisian art world, was editor and art critic for the ?Blue Review? and, along with Pablo PICASSO, was a war time activist for imprisoned artist Max JACOB and others. Prade also served as Secretary of the Management of the Bank of Paris and the Netherlands and Director of Mumm Champagne. Over 150 artworks to include Paintings, Prints and Sculpture by well noted artists such as: AUDUBON, James; DALI, Salvador; GROSZ, George; MAX, Peter; MACGINNIS, Henry; MACNULTY, William; MOORE, Benson Bond; ROSENQUIST, James, and many more! In addition, a ?Rare Estate find?? Artworks from the estate of Christian Buchheit (1885-1974) who was for 50 years the Building Superintendent for The Art Students League of New York.
