Drawing on paper 10 1/2 x 8 in, manner of Charles Wilbert White, Jr. (April 2, 1918 – October 3, 1979) was an American artist known for his chronicling of African American related subjects in paintings, drawings, lithographs, and murals. White's lifelong commitment to chronicling the triumphs and struggles of his African American community in representational from, cemented him as one of the most well-known artists in African American art history.
