Early Neoclassical Style Gilt Bronze Clock, F. Barbedienne
Circa 1880, signed F. Barbedienne, Fondeur, and with Barbedienne circular foundry mark.
Depicting three classically clad maidens, presumably The Three Graces surmounted by an urn, atop a triangular plinth centering a square clock face with Roman numerals, the plinth cast with heavy scrolls, garlands and other foliage, with nude figures and animal paw feet, atop an associated gilt wood pedestal carved with foliate scrolls.
Height of clock w/ figures, 44 in., Width 13 in., Depth 13 in., Height of pedestal 42.5 in., Width 19 in., Dept 19 in.
