10x8 B&W glossy vintage photograph signed "To Jim Wiggins with best wishes Frank Interlandi" in black felt tip ink. A couple of paper clip creases on the borders, otherwise, in very good condition. (1924-2010) Frank Interlandi was an editorial cartoonist for the Des Moines Register and the Los Angeles Times. While at the Register, he won the prize for best editorial cartoon given in 1961 by Sigma Delta Chi, the professional journalism society. A year later, he joined the Times, where he remained until 1981. His stock character in many cartoons was an "angry little old lady in tennis shoes".This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years.
