The cherubic figure slides down the curvature of the water jug on his back as he clings to the lip. There is sense of carefree lightness to the youth who seems to fall softly like a petal from it's flower. A fabric banner sinuates around his body that falls to the base of the jug which is adorned with flowers and tall grass. The ornamental bronze jug was cast using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for conservation. It is mounted upon a variegated black marble base with the artist Thomas's signature.
