Description
A Moroccan silver-mounted nimcha, 19th centurySlightly curved single-edged blade with three narrow grooves on each side, the reverse marked with crown and "GR". Characteristically shaped silver hilt finely engraved with tendrils and set with light-green emeralds. Velvet-covered wooden scabbard with silver fittings engraved en suite and two movable suspension rings, the obverse of the locket with medallion applied in filigree technique underneath a crescent moon set with an emerald and small sapphires (one missing). Length 88 cm.Extraordinary, magnificent weapon.Condition: II -
