Item Details
Description
A side-by-side flintlock shotgun by Fischer in Mehlis, circa 1820Octagonal to round barrels with a flat barrel bar. Smooth bores in 15 mm calibre. On the breech end silver-inlaid manufacturer's mark "Fischer in Mehlis". Lightly engraved locks with water-proof pans and roller on the frizzen. The signature also on the lock plates. Half-stock of nicely grained walnut, with some carving and checkering. Fittings of German silver. Original wooden ramrod with iron tip. Overall length 121.5 cm.Condition: II +
