Description
Model 1851 cast brass waist belt plate with three-part nickel-silver wreath and its keeper/adjuster. The belt plate is completed by an original leather waist belt rig with two (2) leather sword hangers and a shoulder belt with brass hooks and rivets.
Intact and attractive example of a complete federally-issued Civil War sword belt/rig with cross belt and hanger straps. Such rigs were usually worn by cavalrymen and artillerymen.
