The plate has a broad wide central interior, round rim, thick and large, raised on correspondence slightly concave footed ring base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color, depicted of flying phoenix birds through flowers bloom, foliage and scrolling tendril. The Phoenix Feng-Huang represents exquisiteness, goodness, warmth, prosperity, peace, the Sun, abundant harvests, and reason in government. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
