Louisiana School, "Portrait of Edgar de Vesine Larue (1806/7-1884)," ca. 1865-1870, photogravure enhanced with charcoal and pastel, on paper stretched on canvas, unsigned, presented in a giltwood frame with glass, H.- 19 3/4 in., W.- 15 3/4 in., Framed- H.- 33 1/2 in., W.- 29 1/4 in. Provenance: Descended in the Capdevielle Family through the granddaughters of the sitters, Edith (1886-1959) and Yvonne Capdevielle (1884-1960); to their niece.
