Toyohara Chikanobu (豊原周延, 1838–1912), better known to his contemporaries as Yōshū Chikanobu (楊洲周延), was a Japanese painter and printmaker who was widely regarded as a prolific woodblock artist during the Meiji epoch. This particular woodblock appears to be rare as I can’t find another example online. I do however believe it to be of the same quality and time period of the other two in this auction ans was likely published by Fukuda Hatsujiro between 1894 and 1897 The precious work on Japanese washi paper (和紙), despite the obvious patina of the time, is in good general condition.
