Description

"Pigeons III'. 1977. Lithograph. Signed, titled, and 'Artists Proof' lower margins in pencil. Note: Altman was born in New York City in 1924. He attended the Art Students League, the Black Mountain College, the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris, and was a graduate of the Cooper Union Art School. After 1962 he lived in the central Pennsylvania, where a 19th century church served as his studio. Altman spends one third of each year working in Paris where his lithographs where printed. Property of a Westside Manhattan, NYC estate. Dimensions: Sight size: 19.25" h x 28.50" w. Frame: 27" h x 35" w.
