JOSH SIMPSON SIGNED BLUE NEW MEXICO HAND BLOWN ART GLASS BOWL measuring about 8&1/2" wide x 3&3/4" tall. Deep cobalt blue and a milky greenish yellow create the feeling of constellations against a night sky or tide pools with waves rushing through them. The plate has a tomato red rim. The bowl is signed and dated on the bottom "Simpson 11-8-98" near the beautiful rough pontil. I believe the 11-8 is the artist's code. Simpson is a well known and highly regarded glass artist with pieces in the Corning Museum of Glass, Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and the Renwick Gallery
