A pair of Chinese rose medallion porcelain garden stools

19th century

Each featuring various vignettes of court ladies, figural scenes of imperial or civil meetings, scrolling floral decorations, and various Buddhist and Daoist emblems throughout. (2).

H: 18 3/8, Dia: 14 1/4 in. (H: 46.67, Dia: 36.20 cm. (each))

Provenance: Private collection, Atlanta, Georgia.

Both with areas of overpainting and crack, and glaze wear throughout; one with firing crack to rim.
