Meissen (German) Painted Porcelain Figurine, Emblamatic of Africa, Ca. 1880, H 6" W 3" Depth 2.75" | the figure is modelled with a gilded scroll, feathered skirt, elephant hat, and perched parrot. Presented on a gilded base with lion motif. with '1711' and '111' incised to the underside with cobalt Meissen mark under glaze. Circa 1880. Provenance: Property inherited by descent, Harrisville, Michigan.
