Description
A massive example, the hilt with filigreed silver grip and pommel and woolen tassel intact. Steel guard with rare long, straight, double-edged blade with broad central fuller, embellished on each side with crescent moon and star together with Islamic inscriptions, and retaining its sharp edges. In its tooled leather scabbard baldric and applied talisman set with colored stones and embellished silver tip. Minor wear. Overall length 108.5cm/ 42 3/4". Condition II
