Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Campania, ca. 360 to 340 BCE. A petite wheel-thrown pottery vase with a diminutive foot, globular body, deep interior cavity, and a flared rim. An applied, bifurcated handle rests on one side, and the body is covered in a pale-brown glaze with visible areas of light-orange on the foot and inside the body. Size: 3" H (7.6 cm).
Provenance: private New York, New York, USA collection; ex-private T.Z. collection, Munich, Germany, acquired before 1992

Surface wear commensurate with age, with small nicks to rim, foot, and handle, and some discoloration to body, otherwise intact and very good. Two old inventory labels on base.
