Pre-Columbian, Gulf Coast of Mexico, Veracruz, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery doll torsos, each with a pair of perforations through the body for suspending the arms and legs. The limbs would be attached via string through the bodies so that the motion of the bodies would become more lifelike. Size of largest: 0.6" L x 1.125" W x 2" H (1.5 cm x 2.9 cm x 5.1 cm)

Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010
