Item Details
Description
An Early Soviet Guilloché Enameled Gilt Silver Cigarette Case Likely Andrey Bryagin, Leningrad, circa 1925 3-5/8 x 2-1/2 x 0-5/8 inches (9.2 x 6.4 x 1.6 cm) 192 grams (gross) This piece bears all the stylistic characteristics of late Imperial work, but the hallmarks are from the early Soviet period, after 1924. It is possible that this is old stock marked in the Soviet period, or a last gasp of Imperial taste in the fledgling Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
