A signed naval appointment by Theodore Roosevelt as President. 1p partially printed, measuring 15.75" x 19.5", Washington, D.C., dated January 20, 1902. Signed "Theodore Roosevelt" as President and countersigned by John D. Long as Secretary of the Navy. The naval document appoints "Albert N. Wood…Lieutenant Commanding in the Navy." With a blue paper seal at the lower center. Flattened fold at the bottom margin along with faint creasing throughout. Slightly uneven edges. Boldly signed. Accompanied by a COA from Gallery of History.
