Description: iv, 284 pp. With numerous engraved plates, some hand-colored. (4to) period pebbled cloth decorated in gilt.Graham‘s Magazine, Vol. XXVIII: January-June 1846. Scarce original appearance of one of Poe‘s more significant pieces of literary analysis, with his most renowned poem, “The Raven,“ as the subject. Poe was the magazine‘s chief literary editor. Also with contributions by Ann S. Stephens and James Russell Lowell, as well as a review of Melville‘s first book.
Condition
General wear and soiling to boards, rubbing to extremities, circular stain on front cover; interior with offsetting, scattered foxing; very good.
