Description: Handwritten pictorial postcard, 9x13.5 cm (3½x5¼“). With postmarked stamp.Pictorial postcard featuring a couple posing at a plaza in Puerto Rico, the man being a young Hunter Thompson. At top of the photo, Thompson has written, “el poseur,“ referring to himself. The photo is from one of Hunter‘s modeling jobs during the time he was living in Puerto Rico in 1960 with friend Paul Semonin. The postcard is addressed to Semonin. Hunter morosely writes, in part: “Bueno - now at Sam‘s, drunk & alone in the patio - overwhelmed by the return - dusk now - god knows what the night holds - I will wander - maybe V.I. next week, kill a few days floating....nite - drunk & alone in Cataño...H.“ A wonderfully unique piece of Hunter Thompson ephemera.

Light edgewear, a bit of mild toning and faint staining to handwritten side; very good.
