After Rembrandt Harmenszoon Van Rijn (1606-1669). The First Oriental Head. Antique hand pulled copper plate etching on laid paper after the original by master etcher Amand Durand (1831 - 1905). Year: c. 1880 (This print is from the 1800's it is NOT a modern print.) Signed in the palte. Reference: Bartsch 286, Lugt. 2934. Image Size 4 7/8 x 6 inches. Framed Dimensions approximately 15 x 16 inches. Gallery Matted and Framed in a New Solid Wood Moulding. This master print also has Amand Durand's stamp on the reverse which can be referenced by Lugt. 2934. Most of the original Durand prints from the 1800's do not have the Lugt stamp on the reverse which makes this a rarity. This artwork is accompanied by a Gallery Certificate of Authenticity and is Guaranteed as described.
