RIAA 4x Multi-Platinum album award for Tears For Fears album Songs From The Big Chair, which was released on Mar. 11, 1985 and by Jan. 27, 1986 was certified 4x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for four million copies sold.

Tears For Fears found widespread success with this, their debut album. Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA 4x Multi-Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 1986 when this "flower hologram" style of RIAA award was made (1986-89). That makes this award approx. 38 years old. It is presented to Art Robbins, who managed Tears For Fears, Billy Squier and other high profile artists. This award was acquired directly from family of the recipient.

The award is in VG to Excellent condition with only very minor mars on the plexiglass and chrome frame. The award has its' original Creative Glassics manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
