Item Details
Description
A lot of two items, the first being a steel sealing stamp engraved with the symbol of the Rod of Asclepius along with a branch, surrounded by a phrase in cursive which we have not translated. The second item is a folding iron penknife with openwork foliate motifs. The forte is stamped with a number that appears to read '57'.
Europe, 18th century.
L: 5 1/4 in., (13.3 cm.)
Condition
Very good overall. Some small remnants of wax from previous use remain in seal. Knife folds and unfolds well. Some surface rust on knife.
