An early 19th century boxed set containing the Bible and the Book of Common Prayer,
both printed at Cambridge by J. Smith, in 1823
Bound in full morocco stamped in blind and lettered in gilt, with gilt page-ends,
housed custom box of straight-grained morocco,
lettered in gilt including the name of the original owner Brinsley Euseby Moore,
with small brass lock (not operational.)
An old newspaper notice of deaths suggests that Brinsley Euseby Moore died in 1842 and was the son of the Rev. Calvert F. Moore.
The present set was possibly a gift to Brinsley Euseby from his father.
