[POTTERY]. [NELSON, Lord Horatio (1758-1805), subject]. England Expects every Man to Do his Duty / Admiral Lord Nelson. [Liverpool, ca. 1805]. Transferware Mourning Jug with black and white portrait of Nelson on one side, and the other side a map and text of the “Battle of Trafalgar”. Approximately 4” in diameter at the widest point (not counting the handle) and 5 ¾” high. Some soiling, a few small chips at top and bottom rim, a chip inside jug at bottom. Very good. Rare.
