SEGUR, General, Count Philip de (1780-1873). History of the Expedition to Russia, Undertaken by the Emperor Napoleon, in the year 1812. London: Treuttel and Zurtz, Treuttel, jun. and Richter, 1825. 8vos. Illustrated with 5 engraved plates or frontispieces and folding map. 2 volumes. Bound in contemporary full brown calf, boards decoratively ruled in gilt. Rebacked to style in later brown gilt-stamped calf with green and red gilt morocco lettering labels, later marbled endleaves (boards worn and somewhat soiled, mild foxing to text, edges of text block foxed. Near fine. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION.
