Latin America, Spanish Colonial period, Mexico, ca. late 19th to 20th century CE. A wonderful, hand-carved wooden santo of Archangel Raphael draped in a flowing, green robe with striking blue eyes and magnificent wings as he carries his signature traveler's staff. Size: 9.7" L x 17" W x 16.7" H (24.6 cm x 43.2 cm x 42.4 cm)

Proper left arm has been professionally reattached with break line visible. Areas of chipping to pigments, as well as nicks and abrasions to surface, commensurate with age. Otherwise, nice presentation with rich patina.
