Description
These rare chairs are heavily carved with floral sprays with ribbons, inlaid musical instruments, acanthus leaves and intaglio accents. The walnut chairs retain their original 1860's finish and lustrous patina. The cut velvet coverings are in great condition. This is a rare chance to own a pair of important mid Victorian quality chairs. They measure 24"x 36" x 26". See photo of the Elm Park mansion, in Norwalk, CT 1868-1870, all furniture in the music room was made by Herter Brothers. Along with all the woodwork.
