Shots of author ANDRE MALRAUX at work on L'Espoir, writer and assistant producer MAX AUB, scenes from the film, on set; including picture of 1926 advertisement of La Tentation de l'Occident by Malraux, another showing excerpt of Malraux novel, another showing title page. Most captioned/identified with mounted labels at lower left, some lacking. Each mat with backstamp: Services Culturels de l'Ambassade de France, New York. Prints (sight): 11.5" x 9"; mats: 16.5" x 13.5". Generally good condition, various imperfections: some wear to mats, occasional spotting, etc. *Additional images and detailed condition reports available upon request.
