BIOGRAPHY:
In 1894 and 1895, Edwin Forsythe Porter offered lessons in drawing and painting in rented rooms on Winter Street and Bromfield Street.He also illustrated the publication of Jim Bullseye in Boston: A Dialect Poem by Albert Bradburn Barrows.According to the 1880 and 1920 cencus, Edwin Porter was born in 1859/1860 in Canada to James H. and Sarah Porter. He immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1870.His listed occupation was "crayon artist" in 1880. By 1920 his occupation was listed as inventor in the machinery industry.
